After a week of making and cutting out sandwiches into butterfly shapes for school lunches, we have a fair share of left over bread. Instead of tossing the unused away, we bag the crust and the leftovers and save for homemade croutons. We love homemade croutons. My girls snack on them like popcorn. Made without the added processed ingredients like store bought croutons, we love that our croutons are fresh and good for you! We top our salads, add to our soups, and even other delicious dishes. It adds just a touch of crunch and flavor that you didn’t think you were missing.
