I am excited to start something new in this space with all of you. Inspired by the gift guide we use for our little ones around the holidays, I thought it might be kind of fun to do something similar here, as a way to introduce new things and ideas with you in this cozy space, as well as serve us in a way.
Every month I will share S O M E T H I N G that we do, use, make, reading, etc with you in the form of a gift guide. My hope is that this guide will not only help me become better organized with the way I move about my daily rhythm here at home–or in life in general, but also serve as an anchor or foundation for me to continue to practice living an intentional life and being more mindful of what I am doing in my life as well as how I am using time, in my life. Something that truly is a gift in and of itself. My hope, while at the same time this guide is helping me, that it will also be a gift to you. That it will add to your day or your week or your month and become useful to you in some way. Maybe you would like to start your journey–to live your one wild and precious life–being more intentional and mindful. Or maybe you too, need a way to better organize the “things” in your life. Or maybe you’re already living–your wild and precious life–intentionally but are looking for a way to help keep you grounded. My hope is that this guide will help keep us on track. My hope is this guide will help spark ideas, inspiration, and give us the space to do good work for ourselves, family, and even for each other. After all,
“how we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives” – Ann Dillard
On the first day of every week of every month I will release a G I F T of S O M E T H I N G, right here. There are four weeks in every month, with the exception of February and leap year, so for every month I will have four new S O M E T H I N G S to share. Below are the topics and the order in which they will be shared.

G I F T of S O M E T H I N G S
W E E K O N E :
Something to R E A D : I will share a book for YOU, or one that I am reading. A book for HER, one that I am reading with my oldest daughter Kaia. And a new/old book for THEM, my littlest two. If you come from a home that has it’s own little library of children’s books, it’s nice (and fun for them) to rotate them often. So for my littlest two, it may be a new book from the library or something that we haven’t read in awhile. Mid-late month, I will share some thoughts about the books we’re reading and provide a craft project that goes along with the children’s book we read, something we’ve been doing each month that my girls have been enjoying.

Something to E A T : A healthy recipe for all to enjoy. Outside from the other recipes that I will be sharing from time to time, the recipe for this here guide will provide you with not only a good meal but with some helpful tips and information about how healing and beautifying the body begins in the kitchen.
W E E K T H R E E :
Something to D O : This week I will share something to do. With a gentle focus on self-love and self-care, I will share something to do to exercise you mind, body, and spirit.
W E E K F O U R :
Something I need: This week is time for reflection, planning, re-grouping and/or organization. What do I need? What did I learn this month? What would have been helpful to have or to do to make (insert situation here) better? What do I need to do to prepare for the month approaching? Do I need to take a step back? Do I need to push forward? Do I need less of ____? Do I need more of ____? This week I will share something I need and reflect on that here with you. This could be anything from a dinner date with my husband to making a doctor appointment next month. Literally this section is all about reflecting and getting organized so that I/you can work from a good place, so that I/you can do our best work.

So let’s get started!
This week’s G I F T of S O M E T H I N G is something to Read :
- A book for Y O U : Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert. I started this book over the holiday, thinking it would be a good book to kick off the new year and it is! If you’re looking for a book to dive into, this is a good one.
- A book for H E R : Snow & Rose by Emily Winfield Martin. If you’re looking for a nice and easy read and LOVE looking at beautiful illustrations, then put this book on your list to read with your child or have your child read on their own.
- A book for T H E M : Love is by Diane Adams. A super adorable book about LOVE. I can’t wait to share the craft we’re doing later this month.
Together, I hope, we will find this monthly gift of somethings useful and encouraging. Feel free to leave a suggestions of topics along the way. I would love for this to become something we all can contribute to!
I’m excited to start this new journey with you.
