A few weeks ago we took our annual trip to the apple orchard. A tradition we started when we were pregnant with Kaia, almost nine years ago. We have been visiting this orchard year after year that it now feels like home in it’s own kind of way. Every year we find the same row of apple trees, lay out a blanket, and pop-a-squat for a couple hours while the girls run around and play and pick and then play some more. The girls pick apples from the same tree year and load up a loot large enough to bring home for snacks and homemade apple pie. Now that Klo is older she was a helpful addition this year. Together, the girls picked more that we estimated, leaving us parents a bit surprised. We left the orchard that day with six pounds of apples. Let’s just say we had more than enough to treat ourselves and our neighbors. Which is exactly what we did.
Love this little trip of ours . . . . .
