The thing about the change of seasons is that I always feel this pull to switch things up. Actually studies show that changing things up in the spaces we occupy and live in are good for the soul. Even a simple change or swap can boost new energy into room, in turn making an impact on overall mood and satisfaction. Maybe this is why I feel the pull so often. Anyway, I’ve been wanting to change up the girl’s spaces for sometime now but have become frozen in the process because, well, commitment can be hard sometimes. I debated for weeks if I should paint Klo’s headboard, even gathered samples and purchased some to test out. If you were to pull the headboard out and peek on the back you would see various swatches ranging from soft earthy tones of sage green, rose, blush, and blue. As you can see I kept things simple with white because I know myself all too well, I would tire of it eventually. Instead, I decided to bring the colors in with accents which I happened to have already. I love it when something clicks with a simple dance of a rug swap, pillows and a few accessories.
Now on to my big girls’ room where we will be using WALLPAPER for an accent wall. Let’s just say it’s been a good 9 months of finally being able to commit to it!
