A few things I have learned…
Collect beautiful moments. Not things.
Relish in the time you’re living and forget the rest.
Document the moments you feel most in love with. Most alive in. And repeat.
I absolutely LOVE apple picking. While picking strawberries in the summer may have my heart, apples are a close second especially if done on a warm glorious autumn day. It tickles my heart to the core– see what I did there — to be out in nature and gathering goods that will later be used to make various things to nourish our tummies and souls, reminding us of this day. It’s the simple things that tend to bring us the greatest joy, yes?
It was a warm 75 degree day when autumn was at it’s peek. I will remember this year’s annual apple picking for not only the glorious sunshine that kissed our faces but as the year all three of my littles participated in the joy that this experience and season brings. It was Klo’s first year to really experience picking of the apples and running wild through the rows of trees. The girls played hide and seek and ran and ran and ran until their little legs tired. It was joyful to watch them live fruitfully in the moment and to witness such happiness and thrill in something that means so much to me. I’m sure the day will come when picking apples isn’t as fun as these years. So don’t mind me while I let the pictures tell the story as I etch this one in my heart to hold onto forever + always.
